A different side of Tokyo

Tokyo is more than the city.

Izu Oshima is the largest of the Izu Islands and is officially part of Tokyo. From central Tokyo, the high-speed jet ferry takes about two hours—yet the landscape feels completely different.

Spend the day hiking around Mt. Mihara, exploring the black volcanic landscape of Urasabaku, visiting old harbor towns, diving, fishing or relaxing at an onsen.

Our story

First opened in 1975. Reborn in 2026.

Oshima New Villa first opened in the forest of Izu Oshima in 1975 and welcomed travelers to the island.

After being closed for around 15 years, the property was carefully renovated while preserving traces of its original character.

In 2026, it began a new chapter as a private villa where families and friends can experience the island at their own pace.
